Matches consist of scope and/or peep sights. Three targets are shot for each match. Cost is $10 per match and the club furnishes 2 boxes of shells for each match. Rifles must be factory original, wood stocks, no tuners, and two piece rests. There will be a hotdog lunch with donations. Scope targets are 25 bulls with 1 shot on each bull. The peep target has 4 bulls with 5 shots on each bull.

Those wishing to participate can sign up now, and all participants must join 4-H. Those interested can contact the Springfield U of I extension office. Events will continue at the club in April. Check our website. These events will the 3rd week of each month on Weds. Evenings from 5:30 until dark.

Black Powder

Black Powder muzzleloading matches are held on the second Saturday of each month (weather permitting) starting at 9:00 AM

Cowboys

Cowboy matches include dressing up in cowboy clothes, wearing leather hosters, and shooting the old classic guns of the west. They shoot different stages each with 2 pistols, one rifle, and one shotgun.

Family Shoots

Garage Shoot

These matches shoot exclusively from within the garage. Which means that the entire lower range, including the trap house, is closed!

These matches include shooting one or more stages with different types of pistols. They usually shoot both Saturday and Sunday of their scheduled weekend. You have to help setup on Saturday if you want to shoot on Saturday however.
